Pope Benedict in his letter to us last weekend said I encourage you to discover anew the Sacrament of Reconciliation and to avail yourselves more frequently of the transforming power of its grace. We have an opportunity to receive this sacrament today.

We welcome the Holy Fathers letter which was signed on Friday praying it is a means to renewal and healing for all those affected by clerical and relegious abuse and for all of Gods people. Divine Mercy:
The Novena to the Divine Mercy begins on Good Friday and continues until Divine Mercy Sunday 11th April. The novena prayers will be said in the Church each day, times at the Divine Mercy Shrine and on Notice Board.

Easter Triduum Cards are available from the office after Masses this weekend and during the week The triduum of Masses will be celebrated on Easter Sunday, Monday & Tuesday
On Mon. 29 March the 6pm Mass, will be celebrate to mark the 5th Anniversary of the death of John Paul II (2 April 2005).
Shared Mass: This week the Shared mass will be celebrated on Holy Thursday at 6pm
The Stations of the Cross on Good Friday. 12noon & 6pm: We hope that the content will help us reflect on some of the many issues that challenge and concern us at this time. In the midst of our busy lives we pause to pray and reflect on the suffering journey of Christ as we accompany Him on his journey to Calvary.

Chrism Mass: 10am Bishop Buckley concelebrates Mass in the Cathedral on this Thursday with the Priests of the Diocese, blesses the Holy Oils to be used in the Parishes. All are welcome to attend this Mass in the Cathedral.
The 'three days' begin on the evening of Holy Thursday with the Mass of the Lord's Supper. At this Mass we remember Jesus' gift of himself in his Body and Blood and his command to love one another. This command is exemplified in Jesus' washing of his disciples' feet on this night.

On Good Friday the Church gathers to listen to St John's account of the passion and death of Jesus. In the Prayer of the Faithful the needs of the Church and the world are prayed for and then people are invited to venerate the cross through which Christ 'brought joy to the world'.

On the evening of Saturday the Church gathers again to celebrate the Easter Vigil. Christ's resurrection is proclaimed through scripture and song, and through the baptism of a new member into the Parish Community.
