Entrance Hymn: Holy God, we praise thy name

Holy God, we praise thy name;

Lord of all, we bow before thee.

All on earth thy sceptre own,

all in heav’n above adore thee.

Infinite thy vast domain,

everlasting is thy reign.

Hark, the loud celestial hymn,

Angel choirs above are raising;

Cherubim and seraphim,

In unceasing chorus praising,

Fill the heav’ns with sweet accord,

Holy, holy, holy Lord.

Happy Father’s Day to all fathers and grandfathers.

Day for Life 2026

Today, Sunday 21 June, the Church across Ireland celebrates Day for Life on the theme The humanity of the unborn child, which invites us to reflect on the wonder of human life from the moment of conception.  We remember how the Lord Jesus Christ Himself sanctified and experienced the beginning of life in the world as an unborn child, hidden in the womb of Mary. To read the full bishops’ message visit www.councilforlife.ie

Prayer to Our Lady for the vulnerable’ O Mary, bright dawn of the new world, Mother of the living, to you do we entrust the cause of life. Look down, O Mother, upon the vast numbers of babies not allowed to be born, of the poor whose lives are made difficult, of men and women who are victims of brutal violence, of the elderly and the sick killed by indifference or out of misguided mercy…’ Pope St John Paul II

New Sacristy Number

The landline in the sacristy has been giving trouble recently. We may be able to rectify it. In any case we have a mobile phone which wasn’t in use and this is now in the sacristy and can be used to make contact with the sacristan: 085 8890257

Recessional Hymn: Praise to the Lord

Praise to the Lord, the Almighty, the King of creation!
O my soul, praise him, for he is your health and salvation!
Come, all who hear; now to his temple draw near,
join me in glad adoration.
Praise to the Lord, let us offer our gifts at his altar:
Let not our sins and transgressions now cause us to falter. Christ, the high priest, bids us all join in his feast,
Victims with him on the altar.
