Entrance Hymn: Hail, Queen of Heaven

Hail, Queen of Heaven, the ocean Star,
Guide of the wanderer here below,
Thrown on life’s surge, we claim thy care:
Save us from peril and from woe.
Mother of Christ, star of the sea,
Pray for the wanderer, pray for me.
O gentle, chaste and spotless Maid,
We sinners make our prayers through thee. Remind thy Son, that He has paid
The price of our iniquity.
Virgin most pure, star of the sea,

Pray for the sinner, pray for me.

First Communion

Thirty six children from Bunscoil Chriost Ri received their First Holy Communion yesterday. We pray that this will mark a significant milestone in their life’s journey, one that they will cherish throughout their lives. First Communion Day is not a once off. Its success depends on the follow up which is the responsibility of parents.

Sincere thanks to the three teachers who have been preparing the children for this sacrament: Ms Kelly Fitzgerald, Ms Eimear O’Callaghan, and Mr Donal O’Keeffe. Their commitment and engagement with the children has been most impressive. May they be richly rewarded.

Leaving Cert. Mass

Mass was celebrated in Christ King Girls Secondary School on Tuesday last. It was an experience to be treasured by the girls and their teachers. They were so well prepared and the occasion was most dignified and uplifting. Special thanks to the Principal, Ms Long and to the Leaving Cert. Year Tutor, Ms Kelleher. Their faith witness was most powerful.

Rosminian Mission Appeal

We welcome to our parish today, Fr Wilhad Shayo from the Rosminians.

Recessional Hymn: Bring Flowers of the Fairest

Bring flow’rs of the fairest,
Bring blossoms the rarest,
From garden and woodland
And hillside and vale;
Our full hearts are swelling,
Our Glad voices telling
The praise of the loveliest
Rose of the vale.
O Mary! we crown thee with blossoms today,
Queen of the Angels, Queen of the May,
O Mary! we crown thee with blossoms today,
Queen of the Angels, Queen of the May.
