Laetare Sunday
The term “Laetare Sunday” is used by most Catholic, Lutheran and Anglican churches. The word comes from the Latin laetare, the singular imperative of laetor, laetari, laetatus sum: “to rejoice”. We rejoice on this the fourth Sunday of Lent because we are coming nearer to the joyful feast of Easter.
Turkey/Syria Appeal takes place this weekend. It is our second collection today.
