CORPUS CHRISTI, 23rd JUNE
As we prepare for The Feast of Corpus Christi there will be Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament on Saturday 22nd June from 2.30 pm until the 6.00 pm Vigil Mass. It is hoped to have people in the Church throughout the afternoon ~ time sheets are available at the church entrances.

Corpus Christi Procession: Our Annual Procession will take place in Cork city on Sunday 23rd June. We will gather at the Church here in Turners Cross at 2.45 pm and walk in procession to Daunt Square. Come and join us.

Our annual Corpus Christi procession brings Christ, and the love of Christ, into our streets; into all the suffering, isolation, loneliness, temptations and fears of our life; a blessing for our city and our parish.

Ice Cream Sunday: Sunday 23rd June is also Ice Cream Sunday in support of Down Syndrome Ireland. Ice Cream will be available outside the church after the ten and twelve o’clock Masses.

Our First Holy Communion “Do This in Memory”  Programme concludes next Sunday 23rd June at the 10.00 am Corpus Christi Mass.  There will be a Eucharistic Procession after Mass in the Grounds of the Church with the First Holy Communion Children from Bunscoil Chríost Rí.

Our Parish Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus will begin on Thursday 20th June and continue until Friday 28th June, the Feast of the Sacred Heart.  Novena Prayers each morning at the 10am Mass or families may wish to pray the novena at home.   Novena Prayers will be available at the back of the Church.

 Our Students are remembered in our Shared Mass every Friday at 10am. Special Cards are available in the Sacristy.

Youth Music Group
Young people, especially those at second level, who play a musical instrument are invited to join the new parish Youth Music Group. The first meeting will be in the Turners Cross Parish Centre on Friday next 21st June, 4-5 pm. Please bring your instrument. Evangelium Ireland will host a one-day Apologetics Conference for young adults at All Hallows’ College, Drumcondra, Dublin 9 on 13th July 2019 from 9.00am – 8.00pm. The conference will include Holy Mass, informative talks and workshops by clergy, religious and laity and a social in the evening to conclude the event. Talks will be given on aspects of The Eucharist, Sacred Scripture, Sin and there will be workshops on the Complementarity of the Sexes. The cost for the day, including lunch and supper, is €32.50. Coffee Morning: The Parish Assembly is holding a coffee morning on Wednesday next June 19th.  Join us in the Parish Centre after the 10.00am Mass for a cup of tea or coffee, biscuits and a chat.

Climate Change and care of our Common Home
At the suggestion of parishioners at our Parish Mission a “Loudato Si” Group is being established in September/October to promote Climate Change and  Environmental Awareness.  Loudato Si is the title of  Pope Francis Encyclical on Care of the Earth, our Common Home.  Those interested in  helping to establish the group may give their name and contact details to the Sacristy or contact one of the priests or a member of the Parish Assembly (Over 18’s).

Adult Baptism and Confirmation
Nadia Mazeau of Maiville Terrace will be received into the Church at the 12.00 noon Mass this weekend as she receives the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Holy Communion.  We offer our prayers, welcome and best wishes to Nadia and her family.
