31st March 2019 – 4th Sunday Lent (C)

  Mother’s Day: We wish all mothers a happy Day.  The 12 noon Mass this Sunday is being offered for all our mothers living and deceased. Special cards are available in the Parish Office after Masses.

A Mother’s Prayer  
Lord, here I am immersed in my daily routine of mothering a family, feeding, caring for, consoling, listening to those entrusted to me. May your joy erupt within me to brighten the thousand daily actions woven by the thread of life.  Lord stay with me, and let the little deaths of each day lead me along the path to eternal life.

Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament
on Wednesday mornings in Lent after 10.00 am Mass to 11.00 am.

Morning and Evening Prayer of the Church (Lauds and Vespers) on Fridays in Lent after 10.00 am and 6.00 pm Masses.

Prayer for Vocations:  Monthly Holy Hours to pray for vocations –Thursday 11th April 7.00 pm to 8.00 pm at Presentation Brothers, Maiville, Turner’s Cross.

 NET Ministries Junior Youth Group (fifth and sixth classes) will meet in the Parish Centre on Tuesday 2nd April from 5.30 pm to 7.00 pm.

At the Vigil Mass this weekend the NET Team leads us in FORTIFY, a time of prayer for Lent. The Mass is followed by Eucharistic Adoration and Worship with music from the NET Team. There is a short personal sharing from a team member and Confession is available. Our time together with the Lord concludes with Benediction, followed by tea and biscuits in the Parish Centre.
The 10.00am Mass on this Sunday is one of a series in which we ask God’s Blessing on the families of our congregation here in Turners Cross, represented by members of a single family who participate in the Mass and receive a special blessing.   This month we are joined by David and Clodagh Murphy and their children.

Congratulations to the boys and girls of 2nd Class, Bunscoil Chriost Ri who received the Sacrament of Reconciliation on Tuesday last, to their parents and family members, their Teachers, SNA’s and School Principal.

 Turner’s Cross Parish Three Day Retreat April 29th and 30th, and May 1st, with Fr Aidan Neville MSC and Fr. Maurice Colgan OP.  The theme of our retreat will be Parish Renewal.

Death:  We pray for John Dennehy, Congress Road who died recently.  We extend our sympathy to his family.

South Parish Historical Society – monthly meeting Wednesday 3rd April at 7.30pm in St. John’s College, Sawmill Street.  Diarmuid O’Driscoll will talk on “The Ring of Blackrock” All Welcome, Fee €3 non-members.

Anointing of Sick: Saturday 6th April after 10.00 am Mass.  Consider offering a lift to a housebound neighbour.

First Friday: Fr. Billy will visit the sick and housebound during the week. If you would like a visit please contact us.
