PARISH MILESTONES
We congratulate our Sacristan Jack Kiely on his 80th birthday and thank him for his years of service to the Church and parish community since his appointment in 1998. Throughout his service to the parish of Turners Cross he has been an effective, efficient and pastoral sacristan, consistently working beyond the call of duty. Bishop Buckley presents a Benemerenti Medal to Jack at our Vigil Mass this weekend. This medal is awarded by the Pope in recognition of exceptional service to the church.
Our Parish Priest, Archdeacon Kerry Murphy O’Connor, retired in August of last year, and celebrated his 80th birthday in December. We express our gratitude for Fr. Kerry’s years of service to the Diocese of Cork & Ross and especially for his time at Turner’s Cross.
