Like the wise men we are searching for meaning and purpose to life. Perhaps a good New Year Resolution might be to take our faith more seriously, and to ask the Lord to deepen that faith. We pray for strength and courage on our journey especially when the going is difficult. As Pope Francis said in his World Day of Peace Message, “may we refuse to fall into indifference or a monotonous routine which prevents us from discovering what is new, “let us ward off destructive cynicism!”
Blessing of Children: This year on the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord, Sunday next 10th January at the 12.00 noon Mass there will be a special Blessing for all the Children who were baptised in our parish in the past year. We thank the Parish Assembly who are contacting the families and our Baptismal Team for their help and commitment during the year in visiting the families and helping them prepare for Baptism. This bright new year is given me
To live each day with zest . . .
To daily grow and try to be
My highest and my best!
I have the opportunity
Once more to right some wrongs,
To pray for peace, to plant a tree,
And sing more joyful songs!”
