He advised people to slow down and enjoy a healthy sense of leisure, to take care of nature, and to respect other people’s beliefs, among others.    Five this week five  next week

                                                        

1. Live  and let live                                                                                                              2. “Be giving of yourself to others…If you withdraw into yourself, you run the risk of becoming egocentric. and stagnant water become putrid                                                                                                                                 3. Proceed calmly in life.   to have “the ability to move with kindness and humility, a calmness in life.”                                                                                                                4. A healthy sense of leisure…Consumerism has brought us anxiety, causing us to lose a healthy culture of leisure. Even though many parents work long hours, they must set aside time to play with their children; work schedules make it complicated, but you must do it, he said Families must also turn off the TV when they sit down to eat                                                                                                                                                5. Sundays should be holidays. Workers should have Sundays off because “Sunday is for God and family,” he said.   More next week                                                                                                                                                         
First Holy Communion    There will be a meeting  with the parents of children in 2nd class in Bun Scoil Chriost Ri on Tue. 9th Sep. in Christ the King Church at 7.30pm. We will begin with prayer and the preparation programme will be explained.  If Parents wish their child to receive their First Holy Communion on 16th May 2015  they are asked to return the application form they have received when they come to  the meeting on Tuesday.   The Enrollment Ceremony will take place at the 10am Mass on Sun. 28th Sept.

Congratulations:  We celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the opening of The Day Care Center  on Tues. 9th  Sept.   Our congratulations to Kathleen the Staff the Directors and all involved. It must  be the finest Center in the City.

Coffee Morning for our local Marymount  Hospice on Thurs. 18th Sept. in the Parish Cener after the 10am Mass.

Beginning Experience is a specially designed Support Programme for men and women  who have suffered the loss of a spouse by death , separation or divorce to work through the grief process, and to discover for themselves that merely “existing” in life can be transformed into “living” a new life, though a different one.     The next weekend is being held in the Ennismore Retreat Center from Friday  17th Oct. Volunteers required at Cork Prison Visitors Centre.   Volunteering with St. Nicholas Trust involves supporting the families of prisoners when they come to Cork Prison for a visit (families can be waiting up to 30 minutes before going in).
