Woman-at-wellLIVING WATER
Jesus tells the woman at the well that he offers “living water, welling up to eternal life.”  He offers us the gift of the Holy Spirit, the gift of living water.  Every time we receive Holy Communion we are united with Christ, who gives us life and causes us to experience the Holy Spirit within us as we are invited to share the inner life of God the Blessed Trinity. God calls his people tounion with him and with each other, union with Christ and union with the Body of Christ.

CONFESSION_1POPE FRANCIS’ LENTEN INVITATION TO CONFESSION
The Holy Father has asked that a church in each Diocese throughout the world be designated for Continuous Confessions from Friday evening to Saturday evening, March 28th and 29th, the eve of Laetare Sunday. In our  Diocese St Francis Church in Liberty Street has been designated and priests from many religious orders and the Diocese will be available throughout the day and night to hear confessions there. Bishop Buckley comments that confession of our sins and a return to the Gospel has always been an important part of the Church’s Lenten observance.  He supports the initiative wholeheartedly and will hear confessions himself in St. Francis’ at that time.  He appreciates the assistance of the Franciscan Community.
