As He left the Vatican on Thursday evening His final tweet  “Thank you for your love and support. May you always experience  the joy that comes from putting Christ at the centre of your life”.

imagesMothers Day: next Sunday 10th March is Mothers Day the 12 noon Mass on the day will be offered for all our Mothers living or deceased.  Special Cards are available in the Sacristy during the week.

                                                                Death: We remember in our prayers Elizabeth (Lou) O’Sullivan  Greenhills Court, who died recently.  We extend our sympathy to her family.   May she rest in peace.

The Irish Catholic: The souvenir issue that features all aspects of the Pope Benedict’s life, teaching and writings, along with comment and analysis of his pontificate is on sale this weekend 2/3rd March

New Diocesan Directory 2013  There has been a big demand for the New Directory.  We have acquired extra copies. The Directory contains Parish Information, Mass Times throughout the Diocese, Priests, Religious, Schools. A most useful book to have. €5 on sale at Altar Rail after Mass

Spring Dues:  We would appreciate if the Area Collectors would collect the envelopes for the Spring Dues this weekend 2/3rd March

Sharing St. Patrick’s Day : The Parish Assembly invites those people in our Parish who are of non-Irish origin to join us in the Parish Centre (at the side of the Church) after 6pm Mass on Sat 16th March to mark St. Patrick’s Day.  Light refreshments will be served.

VOCATIONS INFORMATION DAY. The Annual Cork and Ross Vocations Information Day will be held at St. Dominic’s Retreat Centre, Ennismore, Montenotte, on Sat. March 23rd from 10.30am to 4pm. Many contemplating the possibility of a vocation to priesthood are nervous about taking the first step. This day allows prospective students to explore the possibility of a vocation and make enquiries in an informal setting. Seminarians for the Diocese will also attend.   Further information from: Fr.
