Holy Hour – Wednesday Exposition of the Most Blessed Sacrament after the 10am Mass until 11am. 

Stations of the Cross;  Tuesday at 5.30pm before the evening Mass.

Easter Triduum Mass Cards  are available in the office after Masses this weekend and during the week

South Parish Historical Society Monthly Meeting on Wed. 4th April at 7:30 p.m. in  St John’s College Sawmill Street, Cork. Guest Speaker Alicia St Leger  will speak on  The Story of the Titanic  All Welcome Non-members €2 

Deaths: We remember in our prayers Mary Coakley, Derrynane Rd.  Dave Higgins, Westview and  Kitty O’Donnell  Capwell Rd. who died recently we extend  our sympathy to their families.

Visitation of the Sick & Housebound  Fr. Kerry will visit on Tuesday & Fr. Charlie on  Tuesday & Wednesday.

Turners Cross Community Association A.G.M. will take place this Tuesday April 3rd in the community centre Curragh Rd. (next to Credit Union) at 8 o clock , New members very welcome. Well done to the Association on organising the Liam Ó hUigín, talk – a history and photographic memories of old Turner’s Cross last Wednesday.  It was a great trip down memory lane.

Confession after all Masses this Palm Sunday weekend.

Pope Benedict in his letter to us last Easter said “I encourage you to discover anew the Sacrament of Reconciliation and to avail yourselves more frequently of the transforming power of its grace.” We have an opportunity to receive this sacrament this weekend.after all Masses a number of Priests will be available for confessions

Mon. 2nd, Tues. 3rd & Wed. 4th April

Masses:  10 a.m. &  6pm Confessions after Mass each day

Thursday 5th April HOLY THURSDAY
No morning Mass in Parish Church

Chrism Mass: 10am  Bishop Buckley concelebrates Mass in the Cathedral  on this Thursday with the Priests of the Diocese,  blesses the Holy Oils to be used in the Parishes. All are welcome to attend this  Mass in the Cathedral.

The 'three days' begin on the evening of Holy Thursday with the Mass of the Lord's Supper. At this Mass we remember Jesus' gift of himself in his Body and Blood and his command to love one another. This command is exemplified in Jesus' washing of his disciples' feet on this night.

6.00pm  Concelebrated  Mass of the Lord’s Supper
Procession to Altar of Repose .  Bring  your Trocaire Box to this  Mass
Confessions after procession.

Quiet Holy Hour:  8.30 pm – 9.30 pm

Friday 6th April GOOD FRIDAY
No Masses today, A day of fast & abstinance

On Good Friday the Church gathers to listen to St John's account of the passion and death of Jesus. In the Prayer of the Faithful the needs of the Church and the world are prayed for and then people are invited to venerate the cross through which Christ 'brought joy to the world'.
3.00 pm  Solemn Celebration of the Passion  of Our Lord     
Reading of the Passion / Veneration of the Cross / Holy Communion
Collection for the Holy Places  in the Holy Land

Stations of the Cross: 12 noon  &  6.00pm
Confessions  after the Stations

Saturday 7th HOLY SATURDAY
No Morning Mass today.

On the evening of Saturday the Church gathers again to celebrate the Easter Vigil. Christ's resurrection is proclaimed through scripture and song, and through the baptism of a new member into the Parish Community.

6pm Solemn Easter Vigil and Mass of The Resurrection
Bring candle & holder to Vigil

Sunday 8th April EASTER SUNDAY

At Mass throughout the world Catholics share in the joy of the disciples who know that Christ has risen.
Masses: 10 am & 12 noon 
Easter Triduum of Masses:  Easter Sun. 12 noon, Mon, Tues.  at 10 am
