Volunteers
Volunteers needed for various Ministry Groups in our Parish Within our hearts do we hear Gods call, is it something we can ignore, is it something real to us? Has the hustle and bustle of our daily lives muted, in a way, that call? These are thought provoking questions. Within our Parish at this moment you can almost hear the sound of the Parish Assembly and all the Parish Groups coming together after a well deserved summer break. We know its time to begin when we see letters and notices about First Communion & Confirmation Programmes.
The four sub- groups of the Parish Assembly are planning the year ahead. Throughout our Parish there are many groups those who care for the Church. Ministers of Word and Eucharist, the Choir, Altar Servers, Church Collectors, Parish Dues Collectors,. St Vincent de Paul Society, St. Josephs Young Priests Society. Legion of Mary, The Parish Baptismal Teams. Our Child Protection Representatives all answering that call within themselves, to make a difference in our Parish. The Prophet Isaiah said Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying: Whom shall I send? I answered, here I am Lord, send me. If you would like to serve in any of the above miniseries – give it a try – we would love to hear from you. Have a word with any member of the Parish Assembly or one of the Priests.

The theme of this years Mission Sunday is TOGETHER IN FAITH

St Josephs Young Priests Society, held her Annual Mass and AGM last Tuesday evening, and was attended by members and promoters of the local branch and neighbouring parishes. In its annual report 2010-11, the branch through its members and promoters raised a total of 8,014 which they sent to the Central Fund in Dublin. The moneys raised by the society help fund and educate seminarians both at home and abroad. Our local branch of St Josephs Young Priests Society meet monthly on the second Tuesday of the month at 10.30 in the Parish Centre. New members are always very welcome.
