Mothers Day
On this Sunday 18th March, the 12 noon Mass will be offered for our Mothers living or deceased. If you would like your mother to be remembered special cards are available at the Parish Office.
No gift to your mother can ever equal her gift to you – life
Lots of cards and gifts will be given to many mothers today. But no gift or card can ever sum up the uniqueness of a mother. Nothing can ever sum up the impact of our mothers in our lives.
Today Mothers day is a day to celebrate and a day to thank God for our mothers. It is also a day to remember mothers who are deceased and their memory will never be forgotten.
Lord you know better than anyone the impact of a mother.
Your own Mother Mary journeyed with you from the stable to the foot of the cross.
We ask you to shower many blessings on all our mothers today
Thank you, Lord, for our mothers
Who were brave enough to give birth
Who loved through many growing-up years
Who taught about God and love and being good
Who often got no thanks
Whose ears could hear the slightest cry
Whose eyes didn't miss much either
Whose hands held and bathed and picked up
Whose heart was often broken
Who always forgave and forgot
Who encouraged when things went bad
Who always had time to listen
Who worked so hard to make things go
Who make the world so much better
Who deserve our love on Mother's Day
And every day. Even for eternity. Amen.
