April 11th 2004 – Easter Sunday

Resurrection
It is always difficult to relate to something that lies beyond our personal experience. We know only too well what it is like to experience suffering and pain. Resurrection, however, is something we hope to experience in the future. Yet it is something which lies at the heart of our Christian faith, the very basis of Christian faith and hope: that which redeems all human life and experience. Does the Resurrection inspire me to a new beginning? To get rid of old yeast, old ways, old fears. To face the future with confidence and faith and to share that hope with a world so in need of God’s redemptive love!

Successful Information Day held on Priesthood.
Organisers of the Priesthood Information Day in the Diocese were happy with the positive response. Eight people attended
the event at Ennismore, Cork, this week.
The Day was organised by the Diocesan Vocations Committee and designed to provide information and advise people considering whether they might have a vocation to the priesthood.
The 8 people ranged in age from senior cycle in Secondary School to people in their 40s. Those who attended were also given information about how to apply to the Diocese as candidates for priesthood.
For further information: Phone Fr. Aidan O’Driscoll 4303015, or one of the priests of the Parish.

“It will cost you nothing”
There has been a big number of enquiries re the returning of tax paid for the benefit of the Church Restoration Fund. Forms can be collected in the Sacristy.
