March 17th 2002 – 5th Sunday of Lent

You will have read in the letter we sent with the Spring Dues envelopes of the overall cost of the Church Restoration: €1.69 million. To date, €593,269 has come in, leaving a balance of €1.1 million to be raised.

To help achieve our target we have the Parish Lotto, Donations and Fund Raising Events. We are now seeking sponsorship for selected furnishings:

* A church seat with a small memorial plate 9 x 6 cm. in memory of the person or family:  €400. (A finished seat with brass plate can be seen at the top of the Church near the baptismal font.)
* The re-polishing of the Tabernacle and large Brass Candlesticks.  (Detail costs next week.)
* Two Flag Poles for the Church grounds:  €1,000.
* A Slab for the Paving of the area in front of the Church.  (Cost per slab next week.)
