Letter dated May 6 1929 Page 1 of 2
Description : Construction work was now 2 months in progress with the finer details now under scrutiny. This letter (2 pages) details alternative arrangements to the side pews having them angle toward the altar. Oddly enough it would be 73 years before this arrangement was in fact applied. Also mentioned in this letter was the new layout of the stations of the cross. We believe this referred to the inset layout of the stations based on designs by Annette Cremin Byrne. These in fact were not installed until 1935 when the rear mosaic, outer railings and stations were finally completed.
