Church of
Christ
the King

Attic & Belfry

Description : View of the left side of the attic depicting the steel grid that forms the support structure for the plaster ceiling. The dips in the insulation material is where the ceiling forms the various motifs.

The trusses play a dual role.. to support the roof and structure and to suspend the ceiling. The cross supports shown here are bolting the suspended ceiling onto the roof structure. Seven trusses in total span the length of the church to achieve this suspension.
