images-1Pope Francis’ wish for Mission Sunday
“My wish for World Mission Sunday is that the Year of Faith may help us to continue to strengthen our relationship with Christ the Lord since it is only in him that there is certainty in looking to the future and a guarantee of an authentic and lasting love’ I affectionately bless missionaries and all those who support this essential commitment of the Church to proclaim the Gospel to all corners of the earth. May we, missionaries of the Gospel, experience ‘the delightful and comforting joy of evangelisingPSF-2T

”The Mission Sunday Annual Collection will be taken up at all Masses this weekend  We appreciate that in these difficult economic times there are many pressures on our personal finances  – a little goes a long way – it will make a difference. Thank You for your continued support for the Missions.

We will pray a Mission Pledge together at end of the Prayer of Faithful:
Lord Jesus, you love all peoples. We want to show our love for you by doing all we can to help all to come to know and to love you.
We promise to share our prayers, love and good things with others here and around the world. Look kindly on our Missionaries. Fill their hearts with perseverance and courage so that they may continue the work of the Apostles in our world today.  Amen
